A magnetic shield room made of Permalloy, a nickel-base alloy showing high permeability, can attenuate terrestrial magnetism fluctuations caused by a passing train and so on (urban noises) to one billionth. It is utilized extensively in medical and R&D work sites performing magnetoencephalography, magnetocardiography or new technology development.
